Sequoia 15.4.1 Update

Apple's Sequoia Bug Fixes 

Apple has just released macOS 15.4.1 for Sequoia.  This update includes bug fixes for some vulnerabilities which makes this a must do update. 

Keeping with the vulnerabilities; Apple is aware of a very sophisticated attack that is able to bypass Pointer Authentication.  The way Apple explains this is “Operating System Integrity which helps mitigate attack and exploit techniques-whether those originate from a malicious app, from the web, or through any other channel.” This would be interpreted as anything we do with our Mac it could be put at risk and is a strong argument for updating to this latest version. 

The other vulnerability is CoreAudio.  This attack is used against a specific individual.  This may not be affecting everyone but would you like to be the one that is affected?  There is no mention as to how this attack would be executed but this bug can in effect use audio streams to attack your equipment and possibly make your mac a doorstop.

Productivity Updates

With this latest release you can expect some changes for those who use Keynote, Numbers, and Pages.  The update will include better functionality within the apps such as copy and paste.  The update will also be able to export your most important projects into different formats that will make it easier to share you work with others. 

Mail, Apple News, Image Playground, Photos apps 

Mail Categorization is a feature for the Mail app that dedicated categories like promotions, transactions, and updates with eMails organized into one of these primary sections.   

If you’re into food and happen to have the Apple News app you will find thousands of recipes, healthy eating tips, and a little help in the kitchen for your reading pleasure. 

There is yet another addition you can start playing with and that is in Image Playground.  The new addition to Image Playground is Sketch styles.  This is an Apple Intelligence required app.   This should bring out the artistic side in you to turn your photos into an animated look.
